Holotype: ZMB 17966/17967/17968 (= A. 108,14,178-180), male, skull, skin, skeleton; “ Bungi am Sanga , zwischen Wesso und Ikelemba ” [Bungi at Sangha River between Ouesso and Ikelemba], Republic of the Congo; collected by Escherich between 24–29 December 1913.
Paratypes: ZMB 17969/17970, female, skull, skin; ZMB 17971/17972, male, skull, skin; ZMB 17973, female, skin; all specimens from “ Bungi am Sanga , zwischen Wesso und Ikelemba ” [Bungi at Sangha River between Ouesso and Ikelemba], Republic of the Congo; collected by Escherich, 24–29 December 1913 .
