Type locality: ca. 25.4– 25.6° N, 121.9– 122.0° E; Three Northern Islands, northern Taiwan, northwestern Pacific Ocean ; purchased at Keelung fish market GoogleMaps .

Distribution: known only from off northern Taiwan.
