Yaothrips pediculae (Han) View in CoL comb.n.
Taeniothrips pediculae Han, 1988: 179 View in CoL .
Yaothrips shii Mirab-balou, Wei, Lu & Chen, 2011: 47. Syn.n.
Han described pediculae View in CoL from two females collected in Mainling County, Tibet, and one of these females has been studied on loan from BMNH, London ( Mound et al. 2012). Similarly, shii was described from four females collected at Lhasa City, Tibet, but these cannot be distinguished from pediculae View in CoL . The genus Yaothrips is not related to Taeniothrips View in CoL , because of the presence of ocellar setae pair I, and the absence of a comb of microtrichia on the posterior margin of tergite VIII ( Mound et al. 2012).
