Genus Eulomalus Cooman, 1937 View in CoL
Cooman, 1937: 97, 156, 158; Kryzhanovskij & Reichardt, 1976: 276; Mazur, 1984: 137 (catalogue); 1997: 185 (catalogue); Ôhara, 1994: 196; Löbl & Smetana, 2004: 74 (catalogue). Type species: Eulomalus vermicipygus Cooman, 1937: 98 . Original designation.
Remarks. The genus Eulomalus was erected by Cooman (1937) for seven newly described species and 14 species transferred from the genus Paromalus . Thereafter, two additional species were described ( Cooman 1941; Thérond 1965). Mazur (1984, 1997) transferred another two species from the genus Paromalus to this genus. Thus, before this study the genus Eulomalus included 25 species worldwide. They occur mainly in Oriental and Australian Regions; only one is found in Africa ( Seychelles). Before this study, only two species have been found in China ( Mazur 1997; Löbl & Smetana 2004). In this paper, we describe one new species from Hainan province and record four other species for the first time in China.
