( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 )

Typhlodromus sennarensis El-Badry, 1967: 465 .

Seiulus sennarensis, Moraes et al., 1986: 231 .

Kuzinellus sennarensis, Moraes et al., 2004: 274 View in CoL ; Chant & McMurtry, 2007: 144.

FEMALE. (Specimen measured. Benin: 1; Nigeria: 1).

Dorsum. Dorsal shield 307(304–310) long and 152(147–158) wide, strongly reticulate. Setae j1 21, j3 29(29–30), j4 27(26–29), j5 30, j6 49(48–49), J2 56(53–59), J5 8(7–8), z2 26(26–27), z3 29(29–30), z4 35(30–39), z5 34(32–35), z6 39(37–40), Z4 62(59–64), Z5 59, s4 36 (35–37), s6 41 (38–44), S2 50, S4 49 (49– 50), S5 34 (34–35), r3 26, R1 33(32–34). Setae thick, thorn-like, long, smooth, sharp-tipped, except Z4 and Z5, serrate; seta R1 inserted on dorsal shield.

Venter. Sternal shield smooth, with 2 pairs of setae (ST3 inserted on membrane); posterior margin partially indistinct, but with a tri-dentate median lobe; distances between ST1-ST3 66(64–67), ST2-ST2 54(53– 54). Genital shield smooth; distance between ST5-ST5 56(54–57). Ventrianal shield smooth, pentagonal, constricted laterally at level of preanal pores, anterior margin convex, 100(99–101) long, 58(54–62) wide at level of ZV2, 55(53–56) wide at level of anus; setae JV2 and JV3 present; round preanal pores mesad of and slightly posterior to JV2. Caudoventral setae smooth and sharp-tipped.

Chelicera. Movable digit 21 long, with 1 tooth; fixed digit 19 long with, 3 teeth and a pilus dentilis.

Spermatheca. Calyx tubular and slender for most of its extent, flaring near vesicle, 24(22–26) long; vesicle nodular, wider than portion of calyx next to it.

Legs. Sharp-tipped macroseta: St IV 24 (23–26). Chaetotaxy: genu II: 2-2/1, 2/0- 1; genu III: 1-2/1, 2/0-1.

Specimens examined. One female, Benin: Gamia, Département du Borgou, on Vigna unguiculata , 22- 11-1989, G.J. de Moraes, deposited at ESALQ-USP. One female, Nigeria: 40 km E Jos, on Piliostigma thonningii , 26-V-1992, N.T.C. Echendu, deposited at ESALQ-USP.

Remarks. The specimens examined have setae j3, s4, S2, S4 and R1 ca. 20% and calyx of spermatheca ca. 25% shorter than mentioned by Chant & Yoshida-Shaul (1986). Seta ST3 is reported on the sternal shield in the original description of this species, as it is also the case for the specimen from Benin examined in this study. It is off the sternal shield in the specimen from Nigeria. In addition, seta J5 is lightly serrate in the specimen from Benin, but it is reported as smooth in the original description of the species and in the redescription of Chant & Yoshida-Shaul (1986); this is also the case for the specimen from Nigeria examined in this study.

World distribution. Benin, Egypt, Nigeria and Sudan.
