Harpactea n. sp.: Ć urċiċ et al. 2007: 19P.

Type material. SW Serbia, Đurđeva peċina Cave, Erċege, Ivanjica, 1 ɗ holotype and 1 Ψ paratype, 30.04.2004; Peċina Potkapilijama Cave, Trudovo, Ivanjica, 1.05.2003, 1 ɗ and 3 Ψ paratypes 14.06.1988 (leg. B. P. M. Ć urċiċ, V. Tomiċ, S. B. Ć urċiċ).

Material used for comparison. Harpactea lepida (C. L. Koch) : SW Germany, Schwarzwald, Posthalde, 1 ɗ, 1 Ψ, 29.08.1904 (leg. F. Dahl) (N 928 ZMB); Serbia, Lovaċka ċesma, Mt. Javor, 1 ɗ, 2 Ψ, 29.5.2003; Near Ršumova peċina Cave (leaf litter), Ljubiš, Mt. Zlatibor, 2.5.2004, (leg. B. P. M. Ć urċiċ, V. Tomiċ, S. B. Ć urċiċ); Harpactea srednagora Dimitrov & Lazarov: Bulgaria, Sredna Gora Mountain, Panagjuriste, 1 ɗ, 1 Ψ, 29.05.2006 (leg. S. Lazarov).

Etymology. The specific name refers to the complicated structure of the bulb (latin complicatus means complicate).

Diagnosis. Somatic characters of the new species corresponding to those of the genus. The new species fits well to the lepida species group, but the genitalia differ markedly from all other known species of the genus. Morphologically it resembles most to the species H. apollinea Brignoli , H. grisea (Canestrini) , H. lepida (C. L. Koch) and H. thaleri Alicata , but it is easily distinguished from them by the long and slender embolus, the broader lamellar part of the conductor with a lanceolate projection, and an accessory apophysis with a characteristic triangular shape. The female differs mainly in the shape of the spermatheca that is globular at its upper part.

Description. ɗ holotype: Total length 5.25; prosoma, length 3.00, width 2.25; sternum length 2.02, width 1.35; opisthosoma, length 3.37.

Carapace with smooth surface, yellow to yellow brown on the cephalic part; hairs sparse. AME larger than the other eyes, distance between AME equal to their diameter ( Fig 13 View FIGURES 8 – 13 ). Labium length two times its width, with hairy whitish upper part. Sternum with hairs in the periphery.

Chelicerae light brown. Retromargin with one tiny tooth at the base of the groove and a larger one on its middle part. Promargin with two teeth of equal size (larger than those on retromargin), which are close to each other.

Abdomen white to light grey, elongate and slender. Legs yellow to yellow-brown. Leg spination and measurements are given in table 1 and 2.

Male palp ( Figs 1–5 View FIGURES 1 – 5 , 8–12 View FIGURES 8 – 13 ): Tibia longer than tarsus, straight. Tarsus triangular in lateral view. All segments setose. Tegulum pear-shaped with complex embolar division. Embolus transverse, long and slender. Conductor bifurcated with lamella shaped like large plate and delicate lanceolate projection. Triangular accessory apophysis curved in its apical part.

All characters as described for male. Leg measurements are given in Table 3.

Epigyne and vulva ( Figs. 6–7 View FIGURES 6, 7 , 14, 15 View FIGURES 14, 15 ): short and sclerotized spermatheca, globular at its upper part. Anterior arc with thin lateral edges. Transversal bar indistinguishable; posterior diverticulum small, oval-shaped.

Distribution. Only known from the localities where the type material was found.
