TYPE SPECIES: Mus nitedula Pallas, 1778 .

SYNONYMS: Chaetocauda (see comment under D. sichuanensis ), Dyromys (see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951:544, and footnote in Simpson, 1945:92), Elius (excluding glis ).

COMMENTS: Tribe Leithiini . Dryomys seems most closely related to Eliomys (Wahlert et al., In Press). See also comments under Leithiinae.
