Taxonomy: The holotype of Xyleborus miyazakiensis View in CoL is listed by Murayama as being deposited in his collection. Examination of Murayama’s collection at NMNH revealed that the type was missing. The species description is detailed and unambiguously matches the lectotype of X. armipennis View in CoL (NHMW), images of the Xyleborus wakayamensis View in CoL holotype ( NIAES 2018) as well as three non-type specimens from China (MSUC). The species has the characters of Cyclorhipidion View in CoL given above for C. bispinum , and is, therefore, transferred to that genus.
