Microperus quercicola (Eggers) comb. n.

Xyleborus quercicola Eggers, 1926: 146 .

Xyleborus izuensis Murayama, 1952: 16 . syn. n.

Taxonomy: The holotype of X. quercicola and female syntype of X. izuensis were examined (NMNH) and were found to be conspecific. Xyleborus izuensis is here placed in synonymy with M. quercicola . The species has the characters of Microperus given above for M. calamoides , and is, therefore, transferred to that genus.
