Xyleborus quercicola Eggers, 1926: 146 View in CoL .

Xyleborus izuensis Murayama, 1952: 16 View in CoL . syn. n.

Taxonomy: The holotype of X. quercicola View in CoL and female syntype of X. izuensis View in CoL were examined (NMNH) and were found to be conspecific. Xyleborus izuensis View in CoL is here placed in synonymy with M. quercicola View in CoL . The species has the characters of Microperus View in CoL given above for M. calamoides View in CoL , and is, therefore, transferred to that genus.
