Xyleborus montanus Niisima, 1910: 13 . syn. n.

Taxonomy: Type specimens of Xyleborus montanus could not be located in the NIAES collection. Niisima’s description of Xyleborus montanus was examined. The species is unambiguously Xylosandrus brevis and is here placed in synonymy.
