Perilampus laevifrons View in CoL / chrysopae species group
The P. laevifrons View in CoL aggregate or group in the Palaearctic region ( Kerrich 1958; Bouček 1983) and the P. chrysopae View in CoL group in the western hemisphere (Smulyan 1936) are, where known, primary parasitoids of Chrysopidae (Neuroptera) View in CoL . These species are recognized by head in anterior view transverse ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ), short malar space ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 , arrow; Darling 1995, fig. 7), narrow prepectus ( Fig. 4I View FIGURE 4 ), and petiole with small, raised scale ( Figs 4C, 4D View FIGURE 4 , arrow).
The specimens from the UAE are similar to P. laevifrons View in CoL group specimens from Mongolia identified as P. noem i by Bouček (1983) and Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 illustrates a male of P. noem i identified by Bouček ( ROME148145 View Materials - HNHM, Appendix 1). Comparisons with UAE specimens are based on 2 males and 2 females from Mongolia (including 1 female, ROME188144 View Materials - HNHM, Appendix 1) .
