L. gorgonaensis García Aldrete, Sarria & González. View in CoL Female
( Figs 130–135 View FIGURES 130–135 )
This species was described on basis of males, collected at the National Natural Park Gorgona, Guapi, Cauca, Colombia (García Aldrete et al., 2011). In this survey, we found one female associated to one male of L. gorgonaensis García Aldrete et al. , in Valle del Cauca (Dagua, El Queremal, La Elsa). The pigmentation pattern of head, thorax, legs and forewings, as well as the shape of the wings and the wing venation of the female are similar to those of the male of L. gorgonaensis , so we assign that female to L. gorgonaensis .
Color. Body, head, legs, epiproct, paraprocts and wings as in the male. Subgenital plate hyaline in the middle, pigmented area U-shaped, arms dark brown, posterior arch pale brown. Gonapophyses dark brown, ninth sternum yellowish to light brown, with U-shaped band brown. Epiproct and paraprocts pale brown.
Morphology. Head ( Fig. 132 View FIGURES 130–135 ) H/MxW: 1.42; compound eyes large, H/d: 3.38; IO/MxW: 0.66. Vertex at the same level of the upper border of the compound eyes; outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with 5 denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.28. Forewings ( Fig. 130 View FIGURES 130–135 ) L/W: 2.46; pterostigma: lp/wp: 4.27, elongate, wider in the middle; M five-branched, M5 forked; areola postica: la/ha: 1.52, tall, broadly triangular, apically rounded. Hindwings ( Fig. 131 View FIGURES 130–135 ) l/w: 2.87; M two-branched. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 133 View FIGURES 130–135 ) wide, setose, with posterior border rounded. Gonapophyses ( Fig. 135 View FIGURES 130–135 ): v1 elongate, slender and acuminate; v2+3 with a proximal slender heel, v2 with a row of 7–8 macrosetae; distal process long, sinuous and acuminate, bearing microspicules on surface. Ninth sternum ( Fig. 135 View FIGURES 130–135 ) distinctly pigmented, oval anteriorly. Paraprocts ( Fig. 134 View FIGURES 130–135 ) triangular, elongate, with long and short setae; sensory fields with 26 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 134 View FIGURES 130–135 ) triangular, wide basally, with long and short setae as illustrated.
