Loneura tatama View in CoL n. sp.
(Figs 100–111)
Diagnosis. Similar to L. nonuya in having the forewings lacking a marginal pigmented band; differing from it, and from the other species in the group, in having the posterior processes of the hypandrium with a distinct concavity between them, each process with a mesal, lateral extension (Fig. 103); it also differs in the shape and size of the endophallic sclerites (Fig. 105).
Male. Color. Body pale brown. Head pattern (Fig. 102), with a dark brown to ochre band from the inner bor- der of each compound eye to the epistomal sulcus, under the level of the ocellar triangle. Compound eyes black, FIGURES. 100–105. Loneura tatama n. sp. Male. 100. Forewing. 101. Hindwing. 102. Front view of head. 103. Hypandrium. 104. Left paraproct and epiproct. 105. Phallosome. Antennae pale brown; scape brown, flagellomeres 2–10 brown, with apices cream. Maxillary palps: Mx1–3 light brown; Mx4 brown. Tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax pale brown. Thoracic pleura pale brown, with ochre spots. Legs pale brown: fore- coxae brown; fore- and mid- coxae with small ochre spot basally; femora with two brown spots. Wings hyaline (Figs 100–101). Forewing pterostigma hyaline, with proximal and distal brown bands; dark brown spots distally on veins, at wing margin. Hindwings with brown spots distally on veins, at wing margin. Abdomen light brown, with ochre subcuticular spots. Clunium brown. Hypandrium brown. Phallosome dark browm. Epiproct and paraprocts pale brown.
Morphology. Head (Fig. 102): H/MxW: 1.39; H/d: 3.09; IO/MxW: 0.68. Vertex at the same level of the upper border of the compound eyes. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with five–six short denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.28. Forewings (Fig. 100): L/W: 2.57. Pterostigma: lp/wp: 5.24, areola postica tall, triangular, apically rounded: la/ha: 1.48, R4+5 sinuous, M five-branched, M4 and M5 forked. Hindwings (Fig. 101): l/w: 3.01; M two-branched. Hypandrium (Fig. 103), each posterior process with a preapical setae on inner margin, setose as illustrated; phallosome Y-shaped anteriorly, side struts slender; external parameres laminar, apex rounded, bearing pores and short teeth on outer margin (Fig. 105); four pairs of endophallic sclerites, anterior pair transverse, joined to a two elongated, tapered lateral sclerites, directed inwards, convergent posteriorly; mesal pair wide basally, mesal sclerite processes distally curved outward, apically near a membranose area of the postero-mesal sclerites, rounded apically. Paraprocts (Fig. 104) oval, with distal setal field and macrosetae as illustrated; sensory fields with 27 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct (Fig. 104) semioval, with short and long setae, and a field microspicules on posterior border.
