REMARKS. The species can be distinguished by the piceous body marked with testaceous posteriorly and hyaline wings. There is light infuscation on the radial and radiomedial crossveins of the fore wings and the distal fore wings have a light smoky appearance.
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru ( Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2013; Sanborn & Heath 2014).
MATERIAL EXAMINED. “ Cristal Mayu / Bolivia / Oct. 20, 1919 / L. E. Pena ” one male ( AFSC).
