Ulva Linnaeus

Like the genus Enteromorpha , Ulva is characterized by a limited number of useful characters to distinguish between species. As in Enteromorpha , the general morphology of the thallus, the thickness of the blade and the number of pyrenoids per cell are the taxonomic characters used.
