Type species: Voragocoris schuhi Weirauch, 2012 , by original designation.

Diagnosis. Distinguished among Schizopteridae by the truncate three-segmented labium ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ); the forewing with two marginal cells heavily sclerotized and rest of forewing membranous ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ); absence of a pronotal collar ( Fig. 1A; 1D View FIGURE 1 ); presence of distinct hyperpleural lobes; male frons with a male-specific organ (mso, Figs 1D View FIGURE 1 ; 2 View FIGURE 2 B–C), covered by dense pale setae; sterna 4 and 5 each with patches of hairlike sensillae (phs4 and phs5, Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D–E); ventral side of the pygophore (pyg) with a pygophore cavity (pyc, Fig. 2D; 2F View FIGURE 2 ).

Description. Male. Small (1.16–1.30 mm), macropterous, body elongate ovoid ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A–C). COLORATION. General coloration brown with yellow appendages, and white fascia on corium and clavus. SURFACE AND VES- TITURE. Body, except appendages and abdominal terga with dense microtrichia; head, pronotum and wing veins with short to medium-length light brown setae, abdomen densely covered with elongate, light brown setae; malespecific organ with long dense light setae overgrown. STRUCTURE. Ocelli (oc, Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ) about the same size as that of one ommatidium, close to anterior-ventral margin of eye; third labial segment blunt; pronotum trapezoidal; scutellum triangular, with rounded tip; tarsal formula 3-3-3; bladder-like arolia present on fore and mid legs; abdomen symmetrical, with six visible sterna corresponding to segments 2+3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and pygophore ( Fig. 2D View FIGURE 2 ); mediotergite 7 (mt7) rectangular, mediotergite 8 (mt8) roughly rectangular, narrow, with medial hook-shaped process ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ). GENITALIA ( Fig. 3A View FIGURE 3 ). Pygophore weakly asymmetrical; right paramere (rp) long, slightly curved, gradually tapering toward apex; left paramere (lp) smaller than right, roughly as long as wide; aedeagus (aed) devoid of visible conjunctival appendages, forming about one coil, tapering toward apex; anophore (ano) sclerotized.

Female. Similar to male in overall habitus, macropterous, body elongate ovoid. Frons without dense setation. Abdominal sterna 4 and 5 without patches of hairlike sensillae. Genitalia vestigial.
