Type locality. Sidoarjo , East Java, Indonesia ( Nouvel 1957) .
Record from Thailand. Khlong Don Sak River, Surat Thani, Gulf of Thailand ( Murano & Fukuoka 2008).
Habitat and depth range. Shallow brackish water, depth: 3.5–4 m ( Murano & Fukuoka 2008).
Distribution. This species is distributed from Indonesia ( Nouvel 1957), Singapore (O.S. Tattersall 1960) and Thailand ( Murano & Fukuoka 2008).
Remarks. This species is the only species placed within the Singularis-group due to the combination of the proximal segment of uropodal exopod armed with only spines on the outer margin, and remarkably modified terminal setae on the second to fourth male pleopods. ( Murano & Fukuoka 2008).
