Australasian: 1) New Zealand ( Heath et al. 2011).

Camicas et al. (1998) treated Ixodes anatis as a synonym of Ixodes apteridis (under the name Scaphixodes apteridis ), but Ixodes anatis is valid, while Ixodes apteridis is a nomen dubium, as discussed in Heath et al. (2011).
