Afrotropical: 1) Congo, 2) Ethiopia, 3) Zambia ( Hoogstraal & Wassef 1983b, Tandon 1991, Kolonin 2009).

Hoogstraal & Wassef (1983b) reported Ixodes euplecti in Egypt (Palearctic Region) on migratory birds coming from the Afrotropical Region, but we do not treat this species as established in Egypt.
