Oriental: 1) China (south), 2) Laos, 3) Indonesia (west of Wallace’s Line), 4) Thailand ( Wilson 1970 a, Tanskul et al. 1983, Chen et al. 2010, Vongphayloth et al. 2016, Petney et al. 2019).

A Palearctic record of Ixodes spinicoxalis from the beginning of the 20 th century was regarded as a misidentification by Anastos (1950).
