Oriental: 1) Cambodia, 2) China (south), 3) Laos, 4) Malaysia, 5) Taiwan, 6) Thailand, 7) Vietnam ( Hoogstraal et al. 1973 c, Phan Trong 1977, Tanskul & Inlao 1989, Kolonin 1995b, Chen et al. 2010, Vongphayloth et al. 2016, Chao et al. 2019, Zhao et al. 2021).

Vongphayloth et al. (2016) recorded the presence of Haemaphysalis lagrangei or a species morphologically close to it in Laos, while Chao et al. (2019) found this tick in Taiwan. These countries are provisionally included within the range of Haemaphysalis lagrangei .
