Grapholitha subtilana Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875 , Reise öst. Fregatte Novara (Zool.), (2) 5: pl. 138, fig. 8. Type locality: Amazonas, Brazil; Brown, 2005, World Cat. Insects 5: 274 (in Enarmoniini unplaced).
Diagnosis. Acailandica subtilana is similar to A. maja and A. acailandiae but is distinguished by a brownish orange thorax, a wedge-shaped marking extending from the termen beneath the apex, and the presence of numerous small spots (some forming incomplete fasciae) in the dorsoterminal one-fourth of the wing ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 7 – 14 ). The genitalia were not examined. The lectotype from Amazonas, Brazil is deposited in the BMNH.
