Type material. Holotype female from INDIA: Uttarakhand: Dehradun, Jaunsar-Bawar (=Jaonsar) (30°44’N, 77°49’E), 1828 m alt. (6000 ft); M.M. Oldham leg.; date unknown; repository NZC-ZSI, Kolkata (no register number specified), examined.

Additional material examined. INDIA: Uttarakhand: 1 female in fairly good condition, with broken legs, detached opisthosoma and intact genitalia, Kumaon / Kumaun, Almora (29°35’N, 79°38’E), 1676 m (5500 ft) alt., February 1912 ,

C. Paiva leg., repository NZC-ZSI, Kolkata (5756/H2); 1 female in good condition, with intact genitalia, Garhwal, Painsur, above Lohba (30°04’N, 79°19’E), 2438 m (8000 ft) alt., 23 April 1914 , Tytler leg., repository NZC-ZSI, Kolkata (5757/H2). Jharkhand: 1 subadult male in good condition and 1 female in fairly good condition, with broken legs, Chota Nagpur Plateau , pass between Chaibasa and Chakradharpur (22°38’N, 85°42’E), 2–4 March 1913 , F.H. Gravely leg., repository NZC-ZSI, Kolkata (5758/H2).

Supplementary description. Female (holotype, Fig. 2A ). Colour in alcohol: overall straw coloured. Tibiae II with four pairs (4–4) of ventral spines. Body length 9.12. Carapace length 3.86, width 4.55. Opisthosoma length 5.26, width 4.14. Eye diameters: ALE 0.13. AME 0.18. PLE 0.32. PME 0.22. Eye interdistances: ALE–AME 0.48. ALE–PLE 0.30. AME–AME 0.27. AME–PME 0.12. PME–PLE 0.49. PME–PME 0.83. Chelicerae length 1.34. Clypeus 0.11 high. Measurements of palp and legs. Palp 4.22 [1.21, 0.81, 0.87, 1.33], I ----, II 17.68 [5.45, 1.99, 4.99, 3.99, 1.26], III ---- [5.48, 2.09, 3.88, ----, ----], IV 17.20 [5.83, 1.90, 4.40, 3.84, 1.23]. Epigynum as in Fig. 2B .

Remarks. The ZSI collection has one glass tube for the type material of this species, which is labeled as ‘TYPE’ (3559/10), containing one female specimen in fairly good condition, with broken legs and intact genitalia.
