Description of Marivita roseacus CAU 1659
Cells are Gram-stain-negative, aerobic, non-flagellat- ed and rod shaped. Colonies grown on marine agar are cream, circular, entire, convex, smooth and opaque. Oxidase activity is positive. In the API 20NE test, cells are positive for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis, β -galactosidase; but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase, and assimilation of D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D- maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malate, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid.
