Iglica hellenica Falniowski et Sarbu, 2015 : fig. 1.

Material examined: Holotype MZUJ2107; paratype MZUJ2209.

Described from a small pond in Melissotripa Cave, Thessalia, Greece. This species is known only from its type locality. The only paratype was destroyed for DNA extraction; its sequences were applied in this study.

Diagnosis: Shell relatively large (larger than other Iglica ), turriform.

Remarks: This species is readily distinguished from geographically close and related species I. sidariensis , I. maasseni , I. wolfischeri and I. alpheus by its larger size and more convex whorls. Iglica hellenica is readily distinguished from the geographically closest species Paladilhiopsis thessalica by its larger size and narrow aperture.
