Diagnosis. The species C. atra is easily distinguished within the genus by its unique shining black appearance.
Distribution. It occurs widely in the West Palaearctic, including the Middle East, Armenia, Turkey, and Iran ( Pont 2018, 1986). Previously recorded from Iran by Stein (in Becker 1913).
