Period of oviposition: 10–12 May.
Batch size: 20–30 (n = 2)
Realised fecundity (range): 20–30
Incubation time (days): 33 (on moistening)
Batch configuration and attachment: Attached, neat rows along edge of tissue paper (Fig. 108).
Colour: Pale brown, becoming light brown.
Size (mm): (n = 10) L = 0.66 ± 0.00, W = 0.54 ± 0.00, T = 0.48 ± 0.00
Width/length: 0.81
No. of females: 2
Aeropylar opening size (m) (n=10): L = 2.2 ± 0.14, W = 1.7 ± 0.06
Relative aeropylar opening size: 3.4
Micropyles: Distinct (Figs 106 & 107)
No. of openings: 4
No. of cells in rosette: 9
No. of rows of cells in micropylar area: 6
Shape: Broad, subcuboidal, anterior pole not truncated, same width as posterior pole, polar profile oblong, not dorsoventrally flattened (Figs 106 & 108).
Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces with hexagonal cells with flat floors. Cell walls narrow, slightly elevated (Figs 106, 108–110). Aeropyles only present on poles, slightly elevated, openings moderately large (Fig. 106).
