Shape: Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid, posterior pole sub­acute, anterior pole truncated, moderately wide; polar profile circular (Figs 331, 332 & 334); wedged shape in profile.

Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by flat to slightly convex hexagonal cells (Figs 332, 334 & 335). Cell walls narrow, generally barely discernible (Fig. 335); micropylar cell walls narrow, slightly elevated; primary and secondary cell walls recessed (Fig. 333). Aeropyles irregularly shaped, unelevated, openings moderately large,

inconspicuous (Figs 335 & 336), present on all surfaces apart from middle of top of cell (Fig. 334). Micropyles slightly off­centred (Fig. 332). Chorion rough, pitted, wrinkled (Figs 335 & 336).
