No. of rows of cells in micropylar area: 2 Shape: Broad, bluntly ovoid, anterior pole truncated (Fig. 746) Characteristics: Soft chorion; egg totally unmarked apart from micropylar cells (Figs 746–748), aeropyle openings very small, aeropyles inconspicuous (Fig. 747), present around anterior pole and narrow lateral sides. Chorion smooth with shallow undulations (Figs 747 & 748).
