Material studied: One adult, CIARI uncatalogued, an adult from Sippighat, South Andaman ( Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 ).
Morphology: Dorsal scales elongated and smooth; in 25:25:17 rows; ventrals 249; subcaudals 141, divided; anal divided; supralabials 9 (6–7 entering orbit); infralabials 11 (1–5 contacting genials); preocular 1; postoculars 2; loreal 1; temporals 2+3/4. Dorsum uniform bright, grass green and venter of a slightly paler shade of green; tail reddish brown both dorsally and ventrally.
Distribution: One adult recorded on a hilltop evergreen forest at Betapur, Middle Andaman. It was observed moving on the ground at a very slow pace. One was observed on the road near Mount Harriet National Park adjoining evergreen forests along the sides in South Andaman. Non-endemic and occurs in other parts of Southeast Asia ( Whitaker and Captain, 2008)
Status: Rare.
