Bolshezemelskaya tundra ( Siver et al. 2005); Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area ( Voloshko 2007, 2010 as M. alata, Bessudova et al. 2023d); Magadan Region ( Gusev et al. 2018); Krasnoyarsk Territory ( Bessudova et al. 2018b); Republic of Yakutia ( Bessudova et al. 2021, 2022b).
Remark. Mallomonas alata f. hualvensis can be easily differentiated from other members of the M. alata group by the shield pattern from single pores and extremely broad and wing-like anterior flange of the body scales ( Asmund et al. 1982, Němcová et al. 2015). Undoubtedly, this taxon should be considered as a separate species rather than a form.
