Austroleptis HARdY 1920: 126. TYPE SPEcIES, Austroleptis rhyphoides HARdY 1920, bY ORIgINAl dESIgNATION.
Diagnosis. ANTENNA WITH 3–5 FLAGELLOMERES, bASAL FLAGELLOMERE ENLARGED, LATERALLY COMPRESSED, DISTAL FLAGELLOMERES NOT NARROW AND ELONGATED. CLYPEUS SUbTRIANGULAR, RETREATING bENEATH HEAD. WING VENATION WITH M3 MISSING OR REDUCED TO A SMALL STUMP. IN MALES, GONOCOXAL APODEMES AbSENT. IN FEMALES, SEGMENTS 6–8 MUCH NARROWER THAN PREAbDOMINAL SEGMENTS, TERGITE 8 SUbDIVIDED, CERCUS 1-SEGMENTED.
