Turkmenistan • 10 km N of Giaurs village , near water; 37°52’6”N, 58°46’9”E; 14.IV.1989; leg. A. Puchkov; slide #L00480; on the elytra of Dyschirius nitidus (#i00399= SZIK K112 ) .

KNOWN DISTRIBUTION. — Common and widespread species, reported from several countries of Europe, Africa, Asia, and from the United States. It is found on species of the genera Dyshirius and Dyschiriodes ( Coleoptera , Carabidae , Scaritini ) ( Santamaría & Pedersen 2021); the taxonomic position of the parasites occurring on Bledius ( Staphylinidae ), described as a different species ( Misgomyces lavagnei ), is still questioned.
