Diagnosis. This species differs from the other Steganina species in having the large body size ( BL = 3.32 mm in holotype) and the yellow body color ( Fig. 11A, B) .

Remarks. The terminalia of the only male specimen was partly damaged (probably eaten by a cockroach) and 11A). Katepisternum yellowish ( Fig. 11B). Halter mostly grey ( Fig. 11B). Fore femur with a row of 4 or 5 strong setae on distal part of posteroventral surface.Abdominal tergites brownish yellow ( Fig. 11A, B); sternites brownish, about 2 times as wide as long.

Measurements and indices. Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. A combination of the Latin words " magnus " (= large) and " flavus " (= yellow), referring to the large body size and the yellow body color.
