Stegana (Steganina) alafoliacea Zhang & Chen View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Figs. 6A, 6B View FIGURE 6 , 27 View FIGURE 27 )

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. (S.) baoxing sp. nov. in the dark body color ( Fig. 6A–D View FIGURE 6 ), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the surstylus with numerous minute, serrated processes on outer surface ( Fig. 27A View FIGURE 27 ); the aedeagus strongly expanded apicolaterally in ventral view ( Fig. 27B View FIGURE 27 ); the aedeagal sheath with numerous minute, serrated processes ( Fig. 27D, E View FIGURE 27 ).

Description. Male: First flagellomere black. Clypeus black. Mesonotum and scutellum dark brown ( Fig. 6A View FIGURE 6 , as wide as long. Male terminalia ( Fig. 27 View FIGURE 27 ): Epandrium with ca. 5 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side ( Fig. 27A View FIGURE 27 ). Surstylus curved submedially, with 1 peg-like tooth and several setulae distally ( Fig. 27A View FIGURE 27 ). Cercus with much pubescence ( Fig. 27A View FIGURE 27 ). Hypandrium expanded anteromedially ( Fig. 27B, C View FIGURE 27 ). Pregonite blurry or absent ( Fig. 27B, C View FIGURE 27 ). Aedeagal sheath erect, slightly dorsad curved ( Fig. 27D, E View FIGURE 27 ). Subepandrial sclerite deeply split medially ( Fig. 27F View FIGURE 27 ).

Type material. Holotype ♂ ( SCAU, No. 125631, DNA #1459), CHINA: Maoershan, Xingan , Guangxi, 25°51'28''N, 110°25'01''E, alt. 700m, 17.x.2004, ex tree trunk, H.W. Chen. GoogleMaps

Distribution. China (Guangxi).

Etymology. A combination of the Latin words " alaris " (= alary) and '' foliaceus " (= foliaceous), referring to the apicolaterally strongly extended aedeagus.
