Stegana (Steganina) marenubila Cui & Chen View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Figs. 5A, 5B View FIGURE 5 , 21 View FIGURE 21 )

Diagnosis. This species resembles S. (S.) crinata Zhang & Chen, 2015 in the shape of epandrium, surstylus, and cercus (as fig. 2 in Zhang & Chen 2015, Fig. 21A View FIGURE 21 ), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the aedeagus with 3 pair of basally fused processes: ventral pair small, medial pair slender, and dorsal pair strong ( Fig. 21B, C View FIGURE 21 ).

Description. Male and female: Frons yellow in male, brown in female. First flagellomere yellow in male, brown in female. Face black, with 1 yellow band medially; facial carina absent. Clypeus black. Palpus mostly yellow. Mesonotum and scutellum yellow in male ( Fig. 5A, B View FIGURE 5 ), brownish in female. Katepisternum yellowish ( Fig. View FIGURE 5

5B). Halter mostly grey ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ). Fore femur with 3 thin, long setae on distal part of posteroventral surface. Abdominal tergites yellow ( Fig. 5A, B View FIGURE 5 ), 4th to 6th tergites brownish medially in female; sternites yellow, about 2 times as wide as long. Male terminalia ( Fig. 21 View FIGURE 21 ): Epandrium with ca. 8 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side ( Fig. 21A View FIGURE 21 ). Surstylus lacking pubescence ( Fig. 21A View FIGURE 21 ). Cercus with much pubescence ( Fig. 21A View FIGURE 21 ). Hypandrium slightly expanded anteromedially ( Fig. 21B, C View FIGURE 21 ). Pregonite blurry or absent ( Fig. 21B, C View FIGURE 21 ). Junction between hypandrium and aedeagus with 3 sensilla per side ( Fig. 21B, C View FIGURE 21 ).

Measurements and indices. BL = 2.45 mm in holotype (2.73 in 1♀ paratype), ThL = 1.21 mm (1.19), WL = 2.56 mm (2.75), WW = 0.93 mm (1.12), arb = 7/4 (7/5), avd = 0.73 (0.67), adf = 1.07 (1.21), flw = 1.42 (1.69), FW/ HW = 0.32 (0.37), ch/o = 0.24 (0.24), prorb = 0.96 (0.90), rcorb = 1.20 (0.54), vb = 0.57 (0.46), dcl = 0.28 (1.22), presctl = 0.38 (0.38), sctl = damaged (2.63), sterno = 0.41 (0.46), orbito = 2.22 (1.89), dcp = 0.53 (0.30), sctlp = 1.50 (1.39), C = 2.20 (2.16), 4c = 1.62 (1.02), 4v = 2.49 (1.75), 5x = 1.29 (1.42), ac = 10.75 (8.46), M = 0.93 (0.56), C3F = 0.64 (0.60).

Type materials. Holotype ♂ ( SCAU, No. 125411, DNA #2347), CHINA: Manghai, Mangshi , Yunnan, 24°07'03''N, 98°19'04''E, alt. 1720m, 8.xi.2017, ex tree trunk, H.W. Chen GoogleMaps . Paratype: 1♀ ( SCAU, No. 125412, DNA #2747), other data same as holotype. GoogleMaps

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. A combination of the Latin words " mare " (= sea) and " nubilus " (= nubilous), referring to the meaning of the type locality (Manghai: a sea of clouds).
