Distribution. Novaya Zemlya, arctic Siberia, north-western Russia.

Remarks. The species was described as Homalium by Mäklin (1878:28) from Eastern Siberia (“Mesenkin, lat. bor. 71º 20`”). As Ph. obscuricornis it is known (J. Sahlberg, 1897:365) from Novaya Zemlya (“Novaja Semlia ad Maly Karmakuli”). The species was record by Poppius (1909:4) from the valley of Lena river. The species can be discovered in the Baikal region.
