Diagnosis: Williams, 1984:143, fig. 100.

Previous records: Christoffersen, 1979: 363; 1998: 352.

Examined material: Almirante Saldanha Expedition, station 1667A, 1 female; station 1668 A, 2 males. FEB/93: Baía dos Golfinhos, 1 male. MAR/93: Praia do Porto, 1 female (ovigerous).

Habitat: on maintenance lines of buoys, covered by approximately 3 cm of silt and seaweed; in depth of up to 8 cm. Bottom of calcareous algae.

Observation: brown coloration, with dark and clear spots.
