Specimens examined: São José do Rio Preto (20 ° 48 ' S, 49 ° 24 ' W), February 2008, on B. decumbens  (3 Ƥ). Novo Horizonte (21 °03' S, 49 ° 18 ' W), July 2008, on B. decumbens  (1 Ƥ). Jales (20 ° 13 ' S, 49 ° 18 ' W), June 2008, on B. ruziziensis  (2 Ƥ, 1 3). Onda Verde (20 ° 32 ' S, 49 ° 14 ' W), July 2008, on P. maximum  (1 Ƥ). Campinas (22 ° 54 ' S, 47 °01' W), July 2008, on B. decumbens  (2 Ƥ).

Remarks: This species was previously known from Argentina ( Guanilo et al. 2008 b), Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Jamaica, Paraguay, Peru ( Guanilo et al. 2008 a) and Trinidad. Measurements of the specimens collected are close to those of the original description, except for those of j 3, J 2, z 4, Z 4, Z 5, s 4 and Sge IV that are about 1.3, 0.7, 1.5, 1.5, 1.5, 1.4 and 1.3 times as long, respectively; measurements of these setae are close to those reported by Lofego et al. (2004) for specimens from the State of São Paulo.
