Myrmonyssus scutellatus Hull, 1923: 611 .

Diagnosis. Body length 720; dorsal shield probably hypertrichous. Genital shield broad, about as long as wide. Anal shield about as long as wide. Peritreme extending to at least mid-coxa II. Legs I long, about as long as the body, about as long as legs IV. Host: Iridomyrmex innocens Forel.

Remarks. The original description of this species is rudimentary. This species is assumed to have a hypertrichous dorsal shield because, in the original description, it is described as being “uniformly setose”.
