Myrmozercon liguricus ( Vitzthum, 1930)
Myrmonyssus liguricus Vitzthum, 1930: 90 .
Diagnosis. Body length 540–580; dorsal shield truncate posteriorly, with approximately 31 pairs of setae; anterior pair (j1) of setae and posterior body setae longer than other body setae. Sternal shield an inverted U-shape; setae st4 absent. Genital shield with some lineate reticulation anterolaterally. Anal shield with short anterolateral extensions. Peritreme extending to mid-coxa II. Chelicerae with fixed digit obsolete. Legs short, leg I about half length of body. Host: Crematogaster scutellaris (Olivier) .
Remarks. This species is most similar to M. tauricus and is most easily distinguished by the fixed cheliceral digit (obsolete in M. liguricus , slightly reduced in M. tauricus ) and the form of the sternal shield (not eroded between st1-st 1 in M. liguricus , eroded between st1-st 1 in M. tauricus ).
