Jordanita chloros (Hübner, 1813) View in CoL
This species is distributed from southern France, Italy, Switzerland across southern, central and Eastern Europe all to northern Iraq and Kazakhstan ( Naumann et al. 1999). Several historical records exist for this species in Croatia ( Mann 1857; Abafy-Aigner et al. 1896; Rebel 1904, 1910; Schawerda 1920; Stauder 1921, 1932; Neustetter 1956; Carnelutti 1994; Habeler 2008; Šašić et al. 2016). However, the last record of this species in Croatia has been in 1973 ( Šašić et al. 2016) so the records presented in this work are first records after 57 years. During this survey, the species has been recorded on three localities within two biogeographical regions ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 ). According to Naumann et al. (1999) J. chloros inhabits dry grassy slopes and steppe biotopes. While only three specimens were recorded during this survey, it seems that the habitat in Croatia is also in accordance with the one from the literature.
