Description. Male. Appearance of this new species is similar to the known species of the subgenus. Posterior margin of 10th abdominal tergite with one pair of short tuberculate posterior processes ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 C–F). Basal area of cercus cylindrical and stout; middle area with a concavity; apical half slender, bent internally and dorsally, apex obtusely rounded. Female. Unknown.
Type material. Holotype: male, Taoyuan, Taiwan, 4 September, 2016, coll. Tien Hsieh. Paratype: 1♂, the other data as holotype.
Measurements (mm). Body: ♂ 11.0–11.2; pronotum: ♂ 4.1–4.2; tegmina: ♂ 20.5–21.0; hind femora: ♂ 10.5– 10.8.
Discussion. The new species Xizicus (Eoxizicus) bimaculus sp. nov. can be easily distinguished from other known species of the genus by the following: odd shape of male cercus and brown longitudinal stripes on disc of pronotum.
Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from one pair of black brown stripes on posterior area of disc of pronotum. Latin “ bi- ” means one pair, and Latin “ macul ” means spot.
