Features: Length between two angles 58–70 μm, areolae 3 in 10 μm.

Description: Valves triangular with constricted rounded apices and concave margins. Middle part of the valve face slightly arched. Hexagonal areolae are distributed forming a quincunx structure.

Ecology and Distribution s: A marine species more commonly found in warm waters. Previously reported from the Gulf ( Simonsen 1974). Rare in Basra corals.
