Features: Length 40–72 μm, width: 26–34 μm, striae 11–15 in 10 μm.

Description: Valves broadly elliptical with sub-rostrate apices and straight raphe fissures. Hyaline lateral areas are broadly lanceolate.

Ecology and Distribution: Widely distributed marine littoral species. Previously reported from the Gulf ( Hendey 1970, Al-Handal 2009). Frequent in Basra corals,
