Features: Length 72–90 μm, width 11 μm, striae 9–12 in 10 μm.

Description: Valves lanceolate with apiculate apices. Raphe branches straight, ending centrally in simple pores. Axial area narrow, central area small, transapically dilated. Transapical striae slightly radiate at the center, becoming parallel near the apices.

Remarks: The observed specimens match descriptions of N. duerrenbergiana Hustedt (in Schmidt et al. (1934: 393) but have a slightly different shape of the central area where it appears small orbicular and transapically dilated.

Ecology and Distribution: Unknown. Not reported previously from the Gulf. Frequent in Basra corals.
