Features: Length 95 μm, width 10 μm, striae 16 in 10 μm, fibulae unevenly spaced, 6–7 in 10 μm.

Description: Valves lanceolate with produced apices. Raphe central, fibulae unevenly spaced, moderately long, prolonged into transapical short ribs.

Remarks: Easily distinguished by its produced apices, coarse striae and the shape of fibulae.

Ecology and Distribution: Marine epipelic species, widely distributed in warm waters. Previously reported from the Gulf (Al-Yamani & Saburova 2011). Rare in Basra corals.
