Features: Length: 60 μm, width 15 μm, fibulae 8–10 in 10 μm, striae 16–17 in 10 μm.

Description: Frustules rectangular, constricted in the middle with rounded corners. Valves with deeply arcuate dorsal margin and straight ventral margin. Raphe eccentric, fibulae small. Transapical striae parallel in the middle and curved near apices.

Ecology and Distribution: Marine species, more common in warm water. Previously reported from the Gulf (Al-Yamani & Saburova, 2011). Very rare in Basra corals.
