Description of Oceanimonas doudoroffii CAU 1658 View in CoL
Cells are Gram-stain-negative, rod shaped, and flagellated. After 3-5 days at 30℃ on MA medium, colonies are circular, convex, entire, smooth, opaque and cream. The result from the API 20NE tests show positive for arginine dihydrolase, urease, esculin hydrolysis, and cytochrome oxidase; but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, β galactosidase, and gelatinase. D- Mannose, D- mannitol, D- glucose, L- arabinose, N acetylglucosamine, D- maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, adipic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are utilized; but not capric acid. Strain CAU 1658 About CAU (= NIBRBAC000508838 ) was isolat ed from sea sediment in Masiran Beach (37°26 ʹ 01.9 ʺ N, 126°24 ʹ 53.1 ʺ E), Junggu , Incheon, Korea. The 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain CAU 1658 About CAU GoogleMaps have been deposited in GenBank under accession numbers MW020537 .
